Echo Project was so Freakin' Awesome that it has me ALL HYPED UP for VooDoo Fest!!!!! ;D I got to meet up with some of the COOLEST peeps from Inforoo at Echo....which is motivating me BIG TIME for us to make some really solid plans to meet up at least once for something REALLY COOL at VooDoo.....or after VooDoo....or BEFORE VooDoo...Hell, I'm Easy! I just want us all to get together and do something TOGETHER! ;D It was just too damn fun to finally put names and faces together at Echo....we HAVE to try and do something at VooDoo... Anyone have anything they are just dying to try/do while at VooDoo or in NOLA? Any of the locals know of something we simply can't live without? Come on! WE CAAAAAN DOOOO IIITTTT!

Aside from he planned brunch we should all do beignets at Cafe Du Monde one night. We could plan to go to some clubs Saturday OR just wander down Bourbon street en masse and see what sounds good.

Ohhh, I love me some beignets! Day or night! ;D We could do both! We could meet up at Cafe Du Monde after the shows one night and then anyone that wanted to continue on to Bourbon (it isn't that far....) could go on and party and anyone that wanted to call it a night could go back to the hotel(s).....it would be kind of a central spot since a lot of us are staying near the Canal area..... So, Friday night or Sat night better for everyone? And of course we can always meet up informally - you guys can call or text anytime - let me know when you get there, where you are, if you are heading out for a beer or what not - I'm always up for anything ;D

Checking with Meg to see if she has/had reservations for Two Sisters (she won't be able to make it now due to family obligations ). How many do we have for brunch? I'm guessing around 8-10? Me & mrs. Bamabelle CajuninSaudi [edit] + 1 [/edit] Rachel (Nashvillbound) + 1 Happy Bunny & Dan (?) Teine + Kate I'm not sure how busy that place'll be... should we reserve a few more seats just in case? I like the idea of Du Monde as an after show regrouping point.

I like the idea of Du Monde as an after show regrouping point. I could do Du Monde as an after show meet-up both Fri and Sat. Beignets are always good!

Her , Wooz and Crgmac are the only ones I remember from the inforoo brunch. I am +1 for the brunch too.

Silly newbie question, but are there any decent breweries on Bourbon St.? Please tell me it's not all "bottles of Heiny, Bud on tap" ?!?!?!?

No breweries on Bourbon, there are a couple on Canal/Decatur (or used to be) near Jackson Square.....but you'll have to make do with with either local brews like Abita (which is actually pretty good, especially the Amber or Golden) or Dixie (notsomuch for me) or one of the national or imports.....or go with mixed drinks. They have some rather potent ones down there, I don't care for most of them cause most of them tend to be too sweet for me (hurricanes - bleeech!) There is one specialty in some of the Quarter bars called a hand grenade that is particularly nasty....course maybe that died with Katrina, it has been a few years since I've been down there......

I know they did at one time....in that case we probably just want to go with the ones we KNOW are coming.

Blasphemy!!! Burn her at the stake! Dixie is one of the reason I go back to New Orleans. But I admit I haven't had any of the post Katrina brews, they don't ship to Florida right now.

OK, perhaps I was a bit harsh.... LOL! Just my personal pref....I like Abita better than Dixie....I would rather have Sweetwater than EITHER but hey....I don't get a lot I want ya know?? But I'm getting Rage and Tom and VOODOO!!! ;D I'm a happy girl.....

Hey Everyone~ I would not miss Brunch for anything! Sorry to hear about Meg & Boz. We will have to get a pic of everyone raising a glass to them. What time? Do we have a rez? I've been dreaming of this for weeks and weeks. It's been a bright spot in the blight of my work hell.
