I'll anwser that.
It was in the Bingo! Parlor tent. Big Sam on the trombone was the best, unexpected music event of the weekend.
Everyone brought it, but this was unbilled and awsome.

Big sam was awesome. Whose got the funk??
However, Smashing Pumpkins takes the cake for me.

You can check out a whole bunch of videos from past voodoo performances on the site at www.thetenthritual.com/?content=video. Also, I signed up for the newsletter at thetenthritual.com and its great to keep getting the updates as they happen and not have to go looking for them!

I liked Mute Math's show the best, but I'm a little biased.

I liked Mute Math's show the best, but I'm a little biased. LOL! Hmmmm, you'll have to tell us why you are biased....but biased or not I hate that I missed Mute Math last year.... I LOVED their set at Bonnaroo last year and was REALLY looking forward to seeing them again at VooDoo...they totally tore down the house at Roo!! ;D

I think it's just because I've been a fan for so long. They (well, most of them) used to be a band named Earthsuit that started out of a church I used to go to like 9 years ago. I'm really glad they've finally "hit it big. They definitely put on a good show. And now that I think about it, my other favorite sets (post-05) would be the Secret Machines and Ballzack. SM had that awesome In The Round stage, and even though it was my first time even hearing them, they soon became one of my favorite groups.

Oh wow, that's cool about Mute Math...they are from NOLA right? I think it's neat when local bands finally "make it"...esp when you've been following them forever....I have followed a guy like that...have been listening to him play in clubs since I was in HS....he's been in SOOO many bands now....BUT...he hasn't had to get a day job yet! ;D THAT'S what it's all about....doing what you love....
