I think it may be spelled 'anglies' on the corner of somethin and somethin...its hard when you so use to just doing whatever...i dont know streets just how to get there...maybe we will have to all catch dinner one night...show each other around....i go to the city at least once a week....my five year old always says when i ask him what he would like to do...."mom Lets go to New Orleans"...the kid knows.

magazine street used to have some really great used record ( yes, those round vinyl things) shops as well as lots of other little hole in the wall places. I also just researched and found that the Blue Crystal is back in business. Wow, now that is an 80's flashback for me. members.aol.com/BleuCrystl/index1.html

LOL! I just LOVE this part: "There is no dress code, although fetish wear is encouraged and popular amoung our guest".... Sounds like they know our crowd I suppose we could all do our Pirate theme and fit in? I mean, it could be considered a fetish right???

Pirates definitely qualify as a fetish! Consider this, dressing as pirates at a goth club in New Orleans for Halloween. I can't find a down side... Now if we can find some real absinthe... Here's one of my favorite web comics which has pirates, and goth fetishists both devilspanties.keenspot.com/ .

the resturant anglies i was speaking of has this "pirate" loft thingy across the street...ive always admired but have never entered...i might tonite...my friends are begging to go to the city...blah...
people definitly dress up more for voodoo than bonnaroo...i can share that...although bonnaroo has a spirit of its own...
since its halloween its a lil more in the air...lots of glitter and what-not...i said we go all the way out.
im game.

Angeli's is on Decatur. I forgot the cross-street, but I look next time I go. It's my favorite place to get pizza.
My "must do" suggestions (that haven't already been mentioned):
Cafe Maspero (if there's not a line a round the corner) - A quiet lunch at Maspero's is a thing of greatness. If you're here during the week, there shouldn't be a line.
French Market - pick up some cheap sunglasses for the weekend. You'll probably lose/break them. Check out the farmers' market for fresh veggies.
Zoo/Aquarium - Not everyone has the cash/time to devote to staring at animals, but I'm a freak and I love love love our zoo and aquarium.
Bourbon - of course. And everyone needs a huge frozen fruity drink at some point (Hurricane, Hand Grenade, etc)
Food - eat as much as possible, as often as possible. YOU MUST EAT A POBOY. A Zagat guide can be your best friend when staying here.

Angeli's??? is that right on the corner by House of Blues? ? It's pretty much on the other end of Decatur, on the French Market/Mint side of the quarter. It's at the corner of Gov. Nicholls and Decatur. The google maps spot for it is wrong for some reason. If you need to find it on Google Maps search for Wicked Orleans. It's at the same intersection.
