There is a place called Rotolo's that's on the HoB block, on the Canal side. It's right on the corner, and you have to walk up a few steps to get in. Sound/look familiar? that's it - it is a total dive inside - but the pizza smelled oh soooo good at 2 in the morning

Oh man! I have walked by that place a TON of times and never stopped!! IS it REALLY good?? I've ALWAYS wanted to try it...especially since I stayed at a hotel on Decatur this year for Jazz Fest and walked down to the Hard Rock several times for drinks just to hang out and kill time (one of the bartenders there was a really cool guy and gave me good deals on drinks and lots of cool tips on clubs and who was playing where ) It was literally across the street from the hotel I was staying at and I thought about getting pizza there the last night I was in town....is it worth it???

I don't know if it is worth it - but it sure looked and smelled good while we were inside - but it is a total dive inside (I think - it may have been the recreationals at that point - not sure)

The place is ok I guess, but I prefer to go elsewhere. The pizza is pretty standard, and my girlfriend got an pretty-close-to-warm beer last time we went. I like the more Greek-style pizzas from Angeli's and Fellini's, etc.
